Pick the scope that fits your home
Every project is different. Here are the most common ways our clients invest in energy-efficient windows.
Vinyl replacement
Best value. Welded frames, foam-filled chambers, no maintenance for decades.
Fiberglass
Stronger and thinner frames than vinyl — more glass, more view, paintable.
Aluminum-clad wood
Real wood interior, aluminum exterior. Premium look for historic and high-design homes.
Impact / hurricane-rated
Laminated PVB glass that meets coastal wind-borne debris code — also slashes outside noise.
The details that decide the result
Window performance comes down to four numbers: U-factor (insulation), SHGC (solar heat blocking), VT (visible light), and air leakage. For Houston, we spec SHGC ≤ 0.25 and U-factor ≤ 0.30 — a meaningfully tighter envelope than builder-grade units. Argon-filled double-pane glass with a soft-coat low-E layer typically pays back the upgrade through electric bills in 4–7 years.
